Get Started

1. Download the app from the App Store.
2. Create an Anylyze Money account.
3. On Institutions, tap Add Institution.
4. Complete Plaid’s secure consent flow. Connections are read-only and require your approval.
5. After connecting, tap the institution to open its workspace.

Navigation

Breadcrumbs

Show your path: Institutions > Dashboard > Categories > Sub-categories > Transactions.

Tap any level to go back while keeping your filters intact.

Filter Shelf

Displays selected Categories or Sub-categories as filters.

Applies globally across Dashboard and Transactions.

Always visible just below the breadcrumb.

App Pages

The app is structured around the breadcrumb path. Each page has a distinct purpose.

Institutions

• Landing page after login.
• Lists all connected institutions.
• Tap Add Institution to launch the Plaid connection process.
• After setup, tap an institution to enter its workspace.

Dashboard

• Always read-only.
• Total Spend displayed at the top.
• Top Categories: Top 5 Categories with amounts, plus Other for the remainder.
• Recent Transactions: 5 most recent transactions (Merchant, Amount, Date).
• "See All" links navigate to full Categories or Transactions pages.

Categories

• Shows the complete list of Categories (not filtered down).
• Each row: Category name, Amount, Sub-category count (tap to view).
• Toggle to add/remove the Category from your global filter.

Sub-categories

• Shows all Sub-categories for a chosen Category (not filtered down).
• Each row: Sub-category name, Amount, Transaction count (tap to view transactions).
• Toggle to add/remove the Sub-category from your global filter.

Transactions

• Reflects your active filters.
• Each row: Merchant, Amount, Date.
• Access via Sub-category transaction counts or See All in Dashboard.

Filters

Selecting Categories or Sub-categories updates the global filter.

Dashboard and Transactions always reflect the global filter.

Categories and Sub-categories always remain full lists so you can update filters at any time.

Security & Privacy

• Secure & Private: No banking credentials are stored by Anylyze Money. All connections are handled using Plaid.
• Read-only access: Anylyze Money has no ability to initiate transactions or change anything in connected accounts.
• Consent-based access: Anylyze Money can only access your account data for as long as you permit it. Once you revoke access, any data stored is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. See the FAQs for more information.

Troubleshooting

• Institution connection fails: Retry from Institutions. Complete MFA if required in Plaid.
• Transactions not visible: Ensure the institution is connected.
• Data not updating: Refresh the institution from Institutions. If needed, re-authenticate in Plaid.

FAQ

• What does “Other” mean on the Dashboard? It is the grouping of all Categories outside the top five.
• Why don’t filters appear in the breadcrumb? Breadcrumbs show navigation — filters appear in the shelf.
• Why do Categories/Sub-categories show everything even after I filter? These pages are for defining filters, not applying them.
• Can I remove an institution? You can revoke access to Anylyze Money directly from your Plaid dashboard. Learn more.
